Nicolas Cage, whom we love no matter how crazy he could be, says that he is not a fan of violence. The Croods star added that because most of his recent movies depict a fantasy world, "it sort of takes you out of the edge of real life."
QUIZ: Nicolas Cage can't stand violence. Does that make him a wimp or a sweet guy? (below)
Ironically, it is exactly violence that people want. Nic's old movies like Con Air and Kiss of Death are the kind of flicks we enjoyed. You take the violence out of it and what do you got? - Sesame Street!
Anyway, here is what else Cage said, when he talked about his latest film The Frozen Ground:
"This movie [The Frozen Ground], because it's a true story, I wanted to approach it in a grave way. If you look carefully at my filmography, when I have violent moments, usually - not always - but usually it's couched in a fantasy kind of world. There's a supernatural aspect to it, it sort of takes you out of the edge of real life.
"This one, because it is real life, I didn't want to approach it with any fireworks. I wanted it to be very correct."
